HEART TYPE

The Helper

Basic description

Type Twos lead with warmth and an instinct for what other people need, often sensing it before it's spoken. Their care is sincere and their generosity real, though it can tip into losing themselves in others and hoping, without saying so, to be needed in return. Growth comes as they learn to turn that same attentiveness toward their own feelings and needs.

Under Stress

Two moves toward Eight, becoming demanding, controlling, and openly resentful when their giving goes unrecognized. The warmth hardens into anger, and the unspoken bill for all that help finally comes due.
